Who I am
Hi, I’m Jen Weinstein—blog writer, strength enthusiast, and midlife navigator. I believe midlife isn’t a crisis; it’s an edit—a chance to refine, redefine, and reclaim what matters most.
My journey into fitness and wellness started when I realized there was little guidance for women like me—women navigating perimenopause, shifting priorities, and the ever-evolving relationship with their bodies. After losing 80 pounds and discovering the power of strength training, I became passionate about helping others find sustainable, empowering ways to feel strong—physically and mentally.
But my journey hasn’t been just about fitness. Like many, I’ve struggled with mental health and often felt disconnected from traditional talk therapy. I’ve spent years trying to figure out who I am and how to heal from things I didn’t even realize needed healing. It’s not an overnight fix—it’s a daily process, and I’m still working on it. Strength training, movement, mindfulness, and creative outlets have become my way of finding clarity and balance in the messiness of midlife. And through it all, I’ve been working with a therapist who takes a non-traditional approach, helping me navigate healing in a way that actually resonates with me.
Through The Midlife Edit (my blog and podcast), I share real talk about fitness, nutrition, mental health, and the lessons that come with embracing change. My approach isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up, lifting heavy (both in and out of the gym), and creating a lifestyle that works for you.
Whether you’re here for strength tips, mindset shifts, or just a little inspiration to keep going, you’re in the right place. Let’s make midlife the best chapter yet—no crisis required.
